(More customer reviews)I can't help myself, I just love these, I bought them for my daughter and (4) and she has really got off her pony phase and into Mermaids. They are so much more appealing in doll form than the Barbie (Elina) doll of the series. They have very anime style faces of them - quite extreme but they look exactly like they do in the movie. There is another set of them which you can also buy (also in the movie) and a great little castle thingy to go with it. All pieces seem to be hard enough wearing to resist little fingers breaking things too quickly. Great colours, appealing faces and just like they appear in the movie!

She was thrilled to find it under the tree and has been wearing it almost non-stop. It's similar in quality to any of the other Disney Princess dress-up outfits, which is to say not very high quality. But the most important thing to my daughter is that it looks like Ariel's wedding dress, poufy shoulders and all. She loves it.

BARBIE Splash & Style Mermaid Doll with Angel Fish Review

(More customer reviews)My almost 5 year-old loves Ariel, the Little Mermaid, and has been asking me to get her some mermaid dolls that can 'play' with her Ariel doll. When I spied this in a local store, I was attracted by the colors and how 'real' they looked so I purchased the pink and purple mermaid dolls. They are amazing! The dolls have this silicone like lower body that makes the mermaid fin feel supple and almost real. The bonus is that when one presses the hip area on one side, the fin moves! It's great for playing with in the water, and bathtimes have become so much more fun since my daughter got these dolls. The other little accessories that come with the dolls are cute but she hasn't really played with them, preferring the dolls. As for the durability, well, the dolls have held up really well, though I have to say that the little tiara on the head can be lost quite easily once it detaches from the doll's hair. The educational value? It allows a child to create a world of fantasy and imagination, and that to me is priceless.

At our house, Myra joins up with the Groovy Girls on all their adventures. If they are camping - it just happens to be near the ocean Myra lives in. Disney Princess Little Mermaid Ariel Pop-up Castle Playset Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my neice who LOVES "The Little Mermaid" and all those Polly Pocket Playset, and I must say I was VERY impressed with this playset (I wouldn't mind having one for myself!) The playset is pre-assembled (with the exception of some furniture pieces that are a snap to assemble!)(Thank God!) and has SO many possibilities! You open the case and it pops up to a castle- lift the castle and you've got an entire world! Includes Furniture such as a Dinner table and two chairs, a bed, Prince Eric Figure, clthes hanger, Sebastian and Flounder figures, boat, Flowers, and of course an Ariel figure with changeble outfits! Ariel's Wardrobe includes her Tail, Seashell bra, Pink Dinner outfit (made out of fabric!), two tiaras, and shoes. I am concerned at how small the shoes and tiaras are, but luckily there's a rock for Ariel to sit on that also holds the smaller items. I do wish it came with more furniture, and maybe another outfit, but overall it's well put together, and offers hours upon hours of fun- My neice LOVED it! The size also makes it possible for her to use her Polly Pocket and Precious Princess dolls (pretty much just Disney Princess Polly Pockets!) This is a GREAT toy for that little Mermaid fan, and well worth the price!

She is 3 years old and when we went today to go and get it, she hugged and said it was her favorite dolly in the whole world. It is a cute little doll and bigger than a barbie. She owns one Barbie Doll and she loves this Dora doll even more. It is all plastic with movable arms and legs. They move in all different directions. She has hair that you can comb and comes with a little hair comb and clips. The hair is soft and in place nicely. You just have to comb it and keep doing that or it may become matted. This Dora doll is actually very pretty. She has a pleasant expression on her face and has that younger look. I love that this is for young girls 3 and up. She has a little girls body and not a woman like body. No curves. Under her clothes which are easily removable, she has on a painted "bikini" top and underwear. All you see is her belly button. She never looks naked. It is the perfect size Dora for her to carry and hug. I only wish they sold changes of clothes for this Dora doll. Another cool thing about this doll is the feet are actual left and right shaped and so are the shoes. So you have to put them on the right way. The shoes actually stay on. Very different from a Barbie Doll. This toy is sturdy and well made. My daughter loves to sit and brush her hair and make her parts move around. The clothes are nice and colorful. Very easy to put on and take off. Good for small little hands. I love this doll for my daughter. I think I even want one! :-) Very cool doll. Worth the price. Wish other companies made more dolls like this for little girls. Overall a great toy.

Barbie Mermaid Swim 'N Play Playset Review

(More customer reviews)This toy has 6 large suction cups on the back that hold it fairly securely to tiled surfaces. It comes with several levels - a top chair for the small mermaid (color changing in water) that comes with the set, a little shower area that you can make work with a small pumping lever, a slide, and a bottom trough that holds water. It also comes with a seashell that you can use to scoop up water to put in the shower area - the area has a small hole at the bottom and water flows through there across flower spinners and catches in the trough at the bottom. There's also a swing for the normal sized merliah doll (which doesn't come with the set).
The shell scoop is a great idea - fun to play with on its owner or to use with the set. There is a lot for the little mermaid to do but not much for a regular sized barbie. The large swing is set up so it can sit the flexible and non-flexible tailed Barbies (the 'co star' mermaid doll does not bend at all, for example).
In all, my daughter really loves it. We have to prop it up, though, since we have a free-standing bathtub with wood walls (no tiles). So keep in mind that it doesn't stand up on its own and you'll need a riled wall above the bathtub.
