Barbie Peek-a-Boo Purse and Playset Purple Review

(More customer reviews)Since it was crunch time for Christmas, and I could not find the peekaboo playset at a reasonable price, I purchased this for my daughter. She wanted the playset badly, but unfortunately it was not to be this holiday. So I thought the next best thing was this purse and some of the dolls. She opened it and never even asked about the playset. She likes it, and that is what matters.
As a mom, I am not happy about the make up of this toy. It is simply a plastic case with a zipper. It has a stiff cardboard insert to divide up the space in "rooms". This stiff board makes it hard to use the zipper sometimes and she brings it to us to do it for her. I want to say the zipper pull is also plastic, so I am afraid it will break.
It is a Barbie product, so the expense will be more than the actual value of the toy, but she loves it, so I have to go with that. Luckily I got it on a good sale so I didn't spend the full price for this. Your little girl will probably love it, as mine does, so I am glad I bought it.

I used to play with my grandmothers collection of Kiddles and I wish they were still around. But the petites are just as adorable! (More customer reviews)Peep and her sheep are so cute! I love how the accessories fit into holes on the floor of the room. Love the colors. PeekaBoo Petites and Mini B's remind me so much of Liddle Kiddles that I had as a kid. The booklet leaves a lot to be desired however. A two page story! Come on Mattel, you can do better than that.
I bought this for myself (middle aged female) to help relive my childhood collecting of liddle kiddles.

(More customer reviews)I am very impressed with this. It is one of the items in the current Barbie promotion and I bought it to make my purchase come to $100. But it is better quality than the other Barbie toys. The girls love it. They use their imaginations and talk and play roles with this set. They have a lot more roles they can take then the limited roles of plain Barbie.
As for durability -- it's still plastic but it is stronger and more stable than I would have guessed.
And very pretty!
