(More customer reviews)As a toy collector, it is hard to find a quality item these days. Some people collect for the sake of just having it, some people collect for fun. However, it rarely occurs when an item pops up that is so important to the owner that he must own it. For me, this is that item.
As one of the biggest Metallica fans, I absolutely had to purchase this, no matter if it was good or bad. I knew that it would be good, though, because McFarlane Toys is my personal favorite in the business. Their sculpting and their ability to be true to the figures' personality really shows in their work. I almost exclusively collect only their products.
This box set is great. The figures are true to life, the stage is excellent, and the feel of a Metallica show is captured very nicely. The lights work, which is a neat little addition, and the sound clip, while very "grainy", is the perfect touch for this set. My only gripe is that the light effect really only works when your house lights are off. Also, the range of movement for the lights is a little restricted.
Although I have sinned in the collector world by opening and moving the set, I feel that it is still worth it. I would recommend this for ALL Metallica fans in the world!!!
