McFarlane Toys Rock n Roll Action Figure Elvis #3 Las Vegas Review

McFarlane Toys Rock n Roll Action Figure Elvis #3 Las Vegas

We own more than 150 McFarlane toy figures, from the Movie Maniac Series to Spawn and Austin Powers to his sports legends and his music figures, and for the most part we're rarely disappointed, but this Elvis figure is disappointing. Not in the workmanship, which is always excellent. It's the likeness to the King that disappoints (or maybe I should say it's NOT the likeness). If you take a good look across all genres of McFarlane figures you'll see that the music figures of those that have passed on are the ones that don't quite capture the likeness of the real deal. I have a theory on this phenomenon: one can't laser-scan a dead person. To test my theory compare Todd McFarlane's Mark McGwire figure to his Janis Joplin. Or to any of the 3 Elvis figures. Or the Hendrix figures, although Jimi #2 is far better than the first. Or take a look at the Jim Morrison figure and compare it to the Kurt Russell Snake figure from Escape from New York. Todd McFarlane set his own bar exceedingly high when he offered us the exact likeness of so many. How could one not be disappointed with this generic-faced Elvis? Am I saying it's not worth the cost? No. It's worth it to us collectors of things McFarlane. I'm simply trying to soften the blow, that's all.

Barbie - Tommy As Elvis Collector Edition (2003) Review

Barbie - Tommy As Elvis Collector Edition (2003)

Every country has a King. Elvis is the King of the USA. He is the "King" of " Rock-N-Roll". He began his life in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 8th 1935. He had a twin brother that died at birth. His family was very poor. Elvis told his mother at a very young age that he was going to be rich one day and buy her anything she wanted. He started singing in church and ended up being "The king of Rock-N-Roll". Elvis had a very big heart and he helped many many people. He is known for his generosity. I think Elvis' life is very educational. These dolls are very nice for the collector and the younger generation. Those are who is going to keep the memory of Elvis' alive.

McFarlane: Elvis Gospel Figure Review

Elvis is awesome. McFarlane is awesome. awesome + awesome = super awesome!
I don't open toys anymore. All I get is NECA, Mezco, McFarlane and collectible things like that and keep them in the package so maybe one day they'll be worth something. but all McFarlane figures are cool to look at and this one went great in my collection.
The face on this figure doesn't exactly look like what you'd expect but the details are great. his face doesn't look exactly like Elvis like all other McFarlane figures you can tell who the figure is... this is the only one I wouldn't be able to tell it if i didn't already know. but it is a cool figure, good for displaying, i'm sure you can't move any of it's parts but like I said, you're not supposed to throw these around like those dinky G.I. joe guys lol
highly recommended for collectors!
PS. sorry about the rambling

King of Rock & Roll '68 Comeback Special Commemorative 30th Anniversary Elvis McFarlane Action Figure "He Dared to Rock" Review

King of Rock and Roll '68 Comeback Special Commemorative 30th Anniversary Elvis McFarlane Action Figure He Dared to Rock

I an a HUGE Elvis fan and saw this '68 Comeback Special Comemmemorative figure. It looks just like the Real Elvis and the detail of the figure is so realistic. The guitar in his hand is also very detailed. Looks like a Real, but yet a miniture aciustic guitar in his hand with Real looking fingers in Fantastic dtail as well. Also has a mic by his side and his clothing all looks so Real!
On the box it comes in has a hologram that says "Signature (Elvis Presley in the middle of the circle) Product. It also has the BIG white ELVIS Plaque in white and red and realy stands out.
His foot is on a blur chair and Elvis is dressed in his Black Leather outfit and b;ack boots. So much detail!
On the back of the box, it has a quote from Elvis, reading "I want Everyone to Know What I Can Really Do."
Commemorating The KING of Rock 'N' Roll
Seen as both a career milestone for the "King" and a watershed moment in TV history, Elvis Presley's '68 Comeback Special brought the legend back to his fans and revitalized his music career.
Fearing that he had abondonded perforing live in favor of acting in movies, many speculated that Elvis' musical career was vanished.
The Comeback Special featured Elvis onstage with his guitar, surrounded by a sold-out audience. Reguarded by as many his artistic resurrection, Elvis returned to glory, reminding the world why he was indisputably the "King of Rock 'n' Roll"
This figure is re-released to commenorate the 30th anniversary of the passing of one of Histoy's Greatest recording artists.
On top of the box, it has two labels, each on the top, and both sides. On the lesft side is his bithdate and on the right, the exact day of his unforgetable death that shocked the world!
We will never forget Elvis. He will be remembered always and this edition will see to it for ALL Elvis Fans! This is something I can hang onto and pass it along to my children and them to theirs and keep it going from one generation to the next. It's is most definately a "Keepsake" to treasure now and the times ahead of us.
One thing everyone should know about this doll figure, is there is a Warning sign at the bottom for Choking Hazard. It does hace small parts, which would be the mic with wire and if was was ever removed from it's visual box and played with by children, his figer could break off or one or more of the 6 tuners on the guitar. But it DOES state on the boc that it is for ages 5 & up. In my opinion, I would make it 10 & up if it was ever taken out of the box for children to play with. The guitar part is enclosed in plastic up to the bottom part of the arm of it.
My recommendation would be to keep it in the box as Treasure it as a Keepsake!
But, I have to tell you, I Love it, Love it, Love it! And in it's beautiful box it will stay for everyone to see. It's definately a Collectable! I am soooo happy that I bought this here on Amazon. The price was well worth it!
