Mexican Train Dominoes Hub Review

Mexican Train Dominoes Hub

My brother bought a Mexican Train Dominoes set for my step-daughter two years ago and we'd never learned how to play it. While visiting family this year for Christmas we finally learned how to play and were instantly hooked. I came back home and dragged out the set my brother had bought and thanks to a friend's toddlers who were playing with it one day it was already missing half of the trains. It also had a boring hub that didn't make any cool train noises like my nephew's set that we'd learned on at Christmas. This Hub set is very cool. It makes realistic train noises when you press down in the center of the hub, and I love the toy train track look of the hub itself...way better than my old one - flimsy, flat piece of plastic with sharp edges. The trains are also designed with a leg on the back that rests on a lip on the hub so they stay put better during play. I wasn't crazy about the trains themselves because they're translucent with silver glitter in them, but my 11-year-old step-daughter thinks they're pretty so I guess I can live with them. I wish the set would have come with some score pads, because my original set didn't come with any, but I just created my own on the computer and can print them out as I need them.

RAGE CARD GAME Review

RAGE CARD GAME

Despite owning other great card games like Phase 10 and Hit the Deck, Rage stands out as one of the best of its kind. Perhaps this is because it is based on the famous old card game Oh Hell!, repackaged in a colorful, commercial format ("RAGE" with lightning and all is printed on the back) with special wild cards to add to the experience.
To play, there are 10 rounds. In the first round, each player gets ten cards. The player to the dealer's left (per custom) starts the first "trick" (in layman's terms, puts down a card) and play proceeds around the table. The highest number card and/or card in the trump suit wins. Of course, wild cards are there to change things. The catch is that the goal of the game is not necessarily to win as many tricks as possible, but to correctly predict how many you will walk away with. At the end of each round, the points are tallied up. This leads to a very suspenseful and exciting 10 rounds of great gameplay!

Brand New Remake of the Popular game Originally made by UNO in 1983 that has been out of print. Reprinted by Amigo in Germany and now redone again by Fundex in 2006.How to Play: Deal 10 card to each player (the number decreases for each hand) and determine the Trump color. Each player states the number of tricks he thinks he can get in the hand. The first player places a card on the table. Each player in turn lays down a card which must be the same color as the suit lead (unless you are reneging). The player with the highest card takes the trick. With this new version, Out Rage, Change Rage, Bonus Rage and Mad Rage are written out in English. Card quality is great with very nice coating on the cards that should last.
