(More customer reviews)I put off buying one of these dolls before Christmas. Then next thing I knew they were all sold out and looked like I missed my chance. Until I found this one for sale on Amazon. Which by the way happened to arrive right on my birthday so it was a special treat!

I have to say this doll is even more amazing to see in person! Mattel really outdid themselves on the design of this doll. The first thing that catches your eye is her dress, on the computer screen I thought the doll's dress was a blue color, but seeing it for myself it has this wonderful royal purple color to it, my favorite color, so that was even better!
Another thing is, it's been years since I have bought a Barbie doll, but last time I did, the African-American dolls seem to have more of a regular Barbie doll with a dark tan look to them. But they really did a nice job in sculpting this doll to give her a real ethnic appearance, she has a very pretty face.
This is a wonderful doll to get for someone, or yourself, if you're looking for something to commemorate the Millennium, which is the only one anyone alive now will ever see, I think getting this doll is one of the best ways!

(More customer reviews)I didn't like Barbie 2001--too frilly and overwrought--so when I saw they were going to continue the line with 2002, I was nervous.
But what a gorgeous doll! Frilly and feathery and sleek and fluffy and glamourous all at the same time. The necklace says 2002, something I NEVER saw in any detail shots. Her dress is skin tight but all the frills and fringes are confined to the edges and don't overrun the elegance of the beautiful pink fabric. Her hair is sleek and sexy, and her face paint is delicate and beautiful.
What a great doll. If you're a collector, scoop her up now.

I always feel that 'slump' after Christmas when all the colorful decorations are taken down and put up until the next Holiday Season. In my older years (almost 50 years old) I have developed not only an appreciation for all the seasons but also for the various shades of blue (I have always liked warm earthtones). This Barbie Snow Sensation Doll was the perfect 'decoration' for the winter month of January to ease the letdown of taking down holiday decor. She is GORGEOUS with her white fluffy fur and snowflaked decorated dress. The snowglobe is also a very nice touch. Even if you don't care for snow, you will love this beautiful wintertime Barbie.

The glorious gown she wears is lavished with shimmery snowflakes and lightly sprinkled with iridescent glitter. The soft white trim and cozy hand-muff are wonderful wintry touches.

(More customer reviews)I am a little disturbed by some of the reviews I'm reading about this doll's skin tone. First of all, all African Americans are NOT the same skin tone! I'm African American and I am about 3 or 4 shades lighter than this doll. My skin tone in the African American community, is what we consider "High Yellow." So I don't get all this business about her color not being "true" African American. People please know that there is no specific African American color. African American and Latino American's represent MANY shades of Brown. I'm talking from super "high yellow" to "ebony" dark and every beautiful shade in between.

(More customer reviews)I bought this at seventy percnt off original list from Amazon and the doll is well worth it. Far better than typical Barbies at the same price. The seams are great and she has snaps rather than velcro to keep her dress on. The stand is an added bonus and can't even really be seen when the doll is on it. I gave it to my 4 year old and really can't bare to think about what it could end up looking like so I think I'll put it up for a while.

2006 Holiday Barbie by Bob Mackie is a 2006 Mattel production doll. Barbie has long blond hair that is in a ponytail braid. Her eyes are olive-gray color (gray with tinge of olive green), and she wears a long black velvety gown that is embellished with faux jewel multi color stars and embroidered design in gold and silver threads, and trimmed at the collar and hemline with white faux fur. Barbie wears a matching crown on her head (similar to the embroidery on dress) and fabulous earrings that have dangling silver + gold tone stars with beads. Barbie is dressed for the Holiday Season. 2006 Holiday Barbie by Bob Mackie is great for any collection, will be a wonderful Xmas gift to treasure for a lifetime, or just for fun play.
