(More customer reviews)In addition to the Harley Quinn, we purchased the Poison Ivy Deluxe. Like Harley Quinn, she's just a big different than the comic/animated series.
Ivy has a full head of red ringlets that are quite striking. I especially like how the leaves are woven into the hair and stay put as if they belong there (appropriate for Ivy). The hair doesn't mess and she displays beautifully. Her skintones throughout her body are green and the costume is the right mix of quality and materials.
The things I nitpick about the doll is that her gloves never stay on correctly and the boots and gloves are perhaps a bit too shiney - they look a bit cheap compared to the dress and hair.
As with the Harley Deluxe, Ivy is fully articulated. She is a large doll - nearly twice as big as a Barbie doll and much wider. As such, she makes a striking display and feels more like a figure than a doll.
The face sculpt is quite lovely but she definitely tends more towards the Uma Thurman Ivy rather than the animated series or comics (which is a shame).
In all, a beautiful doll and a very striking display. The series also features a Joker that feels very much pulled from the comics - and he doesn't blend as well with Ivy and Harley as a result (he's a bit too cartoony compared to their reality-inspired features). That said, I am very happy with my purchase and can easily recommend this to Batman collectors.

Batman & Robin Dc Toys R Us Exclusive Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this Batman & Robin two-pack mainly because of the Batman figure. I also needed a Robin figure so that was another good reason for buying this set. The Batman figure that comes with this two-pack is one of my favourite representations of Batman in toy form ever.
Batman is superbly sculpted by the Four Horsemen (who used to work on the McFarlane figures) - all his muscles are well-defined but not so much that he looks constipated. To me, this Batman looks a lot like McFarlane's drawings, especially the long ears and large cape. The only problem I have with the sculpt is that I wish they had made his hands as semi-closed fists like the Mattel Zipline Batman. As they are, his hands cannot grasp the batarang he comes with.
The dark grey paint wash on the figure is also nice and the figure looks much better and more realistic than the original Mattel Zipline Batman figure because of it. The other main reason I wanted this particular batman figure was because of the huge wraparound cloth cape that came with it.
Other Batman figures either come with a rubber cape or a small cloth cape. However, one of the coolest things about batman in the comics is the way he is drawn with a massive billowing cape. The cape that comes with this figure will not disappoint! With the dark paint wash and the large cape this Batman would fit in well with the Dark Knight Movie Masters figures. The Batman figure is well-articulated but my only problem with it is that it lacks a hip joint.
The Robin figure, although not sculpted by the Four Horsemen, is still a good one. It is supposed to be the Tim Drake Robin and he has some nicely sculpted hair that is supposed to look like it's been gelled. The Robin figure could have done with some better articulation, especially hip joints.
Both figures come packaged in a very iconic pose and if you just want to display the figures I would recommend not taking the figures out of the package. I thought the Batman figure was too cool to leave in the package so I took both figures out. This was particularly complicated as Batman's cape was attached at particular points to the plastic packaging.
I highly recommend this two-pack for all Batman fans if you want modern Batman and Robin figures that still capture their classic comic look.

Barbie as Batgirl on Motorcycle Review

(More customer reviews)First of all, potential buyers of this toy set should know that the manufacturer's description listed above in inaccurate: This doll does not have the "bendy" body that the individually issued Batgirl Barbie has. This doll has more of an "action figure" body made from hard plastic. Another difference is this doll's head is on a ball-joint, so she can look forward while posed on the Batcycle. In general, this doll is more posable than the other version, and her joints have a larger range of motion. Also, her boots are not split up the back like the other doll's; therefore the boots will stay on nicely during play.
The Batcycle itself is pretty fantastic as well. The bike has several moving parts and perfectly supports the doll in a riding position.
The set makes a terrific display piece, but I am betting kids will love it as much as collectors. Mattel has really made an impressive toy with this set! And you can't beat amazon.com's price!

The doll is very pretty I LOVE her red hair! The bendy arms dont bother me then Batgirl can do pretty poses. I also have the wonder women doll and you should get her to! My fave is defintley Batgirl tho. And I dont know why people want sick Ken to be batman. that whould be SO ugly! He would NOT make a good batman doll. My mom bought me the poison ivy barbie and the poison ivy barbie was twice the size as my Batgirl barbie! We are going to return it. My mom said mattel is trying to copy sick brats dolls and its true! They made poison ivy not have a barbie ''face'' at all!she had this icky face its hard to explain tho... Overall this barbie is a must have! I would go to a store to get her tho cause at the store shes cheaper. (And im not even counting shipping!) Well I better go now so bye! -Jackie

I bought this doll as a collector's item for my Batman collection. This is a great item for collectors. I have kept her in the box. I also have Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, and both of these dolls are also in the boxes.

This is the Silver Age version, or Earth 1 if you prefer. Because of his diminutive nature and silly ways, he is perfect for transition to stuffed doll form. Perhaps it is a trap played by the imp himself, to disguise himself as a harmless child's toy!
Great companion to Bat-Mite. Good for kids to play with too.

Barbie Collector My Favorite Barbie - Barbie and Her Wig Wardrobe Review

(More customer reviews)How fun to have this reproduction of my much-loved doll from the childhood Barbie years! She looks exactly like the Barbie I remember. Although she was glam for the time, it always bothered me that she didn't have hair, so I would put her in the blonde bubblecut wig which is probably what was most popular in 1963. My fave outfit for this Barbie was the Barbie Career Girl, which was an elegant fashion of a sort of tweedy suit with elbow-length gloves. What a joy to find out that they reissued the blonde bubblecut with that very fashion as a "dressed doll" reproduction in about 2006. I love that Mattel is doing these very-successful reproduction dolls and clothes. I don't know how they hold up with a kid's handling but, for us adults, they are lovely dolls to display. Sentimental, enjoyable, collectable and very special for us baby boomers and anybody else. Thank you, Mattel! And thank you to Amazon sellers, as I've been able to catch up my collection with the various advertised repros from the past fifteen years which I'd missed before I knew Mattel had introduced them. I don't know why it's so comforting to have my reproduction Barbies...but it is!
