This 14 inch Batman figure lacks in articulation, which is the only downside. The upside is how detailed & collectible this figure is. It's very hard to find, but its great to have on display. This figure acts more like a statue than a toy. I highly recommend this figure for any Batman fan.

Batman & Robin Dc Toys R Us Exclusive Review

Batman and Robin Dc Toys R Us Exclusive
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this Batman & Robin two-pack mainly because of the Batman figure. I also needed a Robin figure so that was another good reason for buying this set. The Batman figure that comes with this two-pack is one of my favourite representations of Batman in toy form ever.
Batman is superbly sculpted by the Four Horsemen (who used to work on the McFarlane figures) - all his muscles are well-defined but not so much that he looks constipated. To me, this Batman looks a lot like McFarlane's drawings, especially the long ears and large cape. The only problem I have with the sculpt is that I wish they had made his hands as semi-closed fists like the Mattel Zipline Batman. As they are, his hands cannot grasp the batarang he comes with.
The dark grey paint wash on the figure is also nice and the figure looks much better and more realistic than the original Mattel Zipline Batman figure because of it. The other main reason I wanted this particular batman figure was because of the huge wraparound cloth cape that came with it.
Other Batman figures either come with a rubber cape or a small cloth cape. However, one of the coolest things about batman in the comics is the way he is drawn with a massive billowing cape. The cape that comes with this figure will not disappoint! With the dark paint wash and the large cape this Batman would fit in well with the Dark Knight Movie Masters figures. The Batman figure is well-articulated but my only problem with it is that it lacks a hip joint.
The Robin figure, although not sculpted by the Four Horsemen, is still a good one. It is supposed to be the Tim Drake Robin and he has some nicely sculpted hair that is supposed to look like it's been gelled. The Robin figure could have done with some better articulation, especially hip joints.
Both figures come packaged in a very iconic pose and if you just want to display the figures I would recommend not taking the figures out of the package. I thought the Batman figure was too cool to leave in the package so I took both figures out. This was particularly complicated as Batman's cape was attached at particular points to the plastic packaging.
I highly recommend this two-pack for all Batman fans if you want modern Batman and Robin figures that still capture their classic comic look.

Barbie as Batgirl on Motorcycle Review

Barbie as Batgirl on Motorcycle
Average Reviews:

First of all, potential buyers of this toy set should know that the manufacturer's description listed above in inaccurate: This doll does not have the "bendy" body that the individually issued Batgirl Barbie has. This doll has more of an "action figure" body made from hard plastic. Another difference is this doll's head is on a ball-joint, so she can look forward while posed on the Batcycle. In general, this doll is more posable than the other version, and her joints have a larger range of motion. Also, her boots are not split up the back like the other doll's; therefore the boots will stay on nicely during play.
The Batcycle itself is pretty fantastic as well. The bike has several moving parts and perfectly supports the doll in a riding position.
The set makes a terrific display piece, but I am betting kids will love it as much as collectors. Mattel has really made an impressive toy with this set! And you can't beat amazon.com's price!

Hi, This bat girl barbie is beautfull! However I did not get the blue stand, I got a black stand (And thats fine by me!) With the yellow bat logo. The doll is very pretty I LOVE her red hair! The bendy arms dont bother me then Batgirl can do pretty poses. I also have the wonder women doll and you should get her to! My fave is defintley Batgirl tho. And I dont know why people want sick Ken to be batman. that whould be SO ugly! He would NOT make a good batman doll. My mom bought me the poison ivy barbie and the poison ivy barbie was twice the size as my Batgirl barbie! We are going to return it. My mom said mattel is trying to copy sick brats dolls and its true! They made poison ivy not have a barbie ''face'' at all!she had this icky face its hard to explain tho... Overall this barbie is a must have! I would go to a store to get her tho cause at the store shes cheaper. (And im not even counting shipping!) Well I better go now so bye! -Jackie

This model is fantastic. I have bought McFarlane Toys before, but none has impressed me like this one. I gave this as a Christmans present, and they loved it instantly. I was very impressed with it even before the box was opened. I was expecting the hair to be made of a hard plastic, but it was made from a firm flexable plastic. Although I wish both of his arms and fingers moved, I am very happy with just the one side moving. I think this figure is best as a display model, not as an actual toy, that is, if you only plan on buying one. Get two if you want to really play with one. The detail is great. Shiny and matte leather, buckles, loose pieces of clothing haniging off his body. All around it's a very cool model.

Barbie As Supergirl Review

Barbie As Supergirl
Average Reviews:

When my sister got this doll out of the box, she was so excited because she had finally finished collecting the whole D.C. Doll Series(Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Catwoman, Supergirl), but only to find out that this doll was poorly done. She started playing with her hair, very gently, and hair plugs went missing! Within 5 minutes out of her box, the Supergirl doll had more than six missing hairplugs! Strands of hair just kept coming off. We were all surprised because Mattel has always made quality products and this had never happened. All the other dolls had come out fine, it was just this doll that came with defects. My sister was sad, and my mom decided to buy her another one because the doll was missing a lot of hair and probably could not be returned. So when she got her 2nd Supergirl doll, she also came with defects. The shirt was kind of small, and very tight and hard to put back on. The hair did not come as defected as the first doll, but it still has hairs coming off when her hair gets combed or a little pull. A BIG DISSAPOINTMENT.

Mattel DC Universe Big Barda Figure - Styles May Vary Review

Mattel DC Universe Big Barda Figure - Styles May Vary
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Big Barda is a New God from Apokolips and she could kick your butt. She's the wife of Scott Free and she's strong and invincible so he better stay in line. This is her from Wave 7 of the DC Universe Classics line.
Her figure seems just a touch smaller than maybe it should be, she is called BIG Barda after all. I suppose it is a fine line to walk with a character like this making her look tough yet feminine at the same time. Her sculpt, however, is quite detailed. The suit she wears is a kind of armor and has a textured scaled appearance that is intricate. It also has several sculpted bands around her arms and legs, a gold chest plate and gold skirt with red and black symbols and she sports a cape. It's all fancy in a Fourth World kind of way. Her face is actually attractive and realistic looking - many companies have difficulty making attractive female faces. She also wears her big black yellow and red helmet which has plenty of detail all of its own. Note that there is an alternate version without helmet with her hair out but I have not seen that one in person.
Her blue suit seems to have a bit of wash to better bring out those small details. She actually is pretty colorful with light and dark blues, gold, red, yellow and black and it is all pretty darn flawless. I found only one flaw on mine and it is so small that you'll think I'm weird for even noticing. One of her eyebrows is painted as raised which looks fine but on closer inspection there is a tiny raised surface on her face where the eyebrow should have been painted making it even with the other. Maybe the painter was using artistic license. I can't count off for this since it is miniscule and looks fine.
She's as well articulated as any of the male DCU figures sporting a ball neck and shoulders, pin elbows and rotating hands, the tilt and the turn waist joints, hip, knee and ankle joints. The only issue is that the helmet limits neck movement quite a bit and the skirt limits hip movement.
Her Mega-Rod weapon fits in either hand and looks fine in sculpt and paint although it is small and not very intimidating. Because it is small and does not fit tightly in her hand just be careful not to loose it. She comes with her piece of the Atom Smasher collect and connect figure. He's about nine inches tall and had great paint and details all his own so is worth it if you are interested in the entire line.
In the end she's a pretty impressive female figure.

DC Universe Classics Raven Figure Review

Beautiful. The 4 horsemen did a great job on this Raven. I didnt expect anything more or less. Great Figure to add to the almost complete Teen Titans. As far for her Articulation she has 23 points. Many still wanted that her cape would come off or her hood to show her full head but there both NOT removal. Some wanted her as a white Variant, maybe in the future to come? her head does not go up or down but still shes a great figure. But those who have bought Dc Figures know that her arms have to be taken with care(not much of a problem but be really careful cus when u open her u will see that 1 arm is backwards so it WONT bend and u can break it so adjust her arm and you will be more happy that u didnt need superglue). Is it child 3-7 playing proof(after hrs of play)? Ima say no but thats just my opinion. I would say to buy her now, Trust me this figure will go up sometime later on. I mean if ur a teen titan Fan (must have) dc collecter as well

and dude shes the daughter of Trigon (enough said)
hope this helps.......

Wonder Woman Series 1 - Wonder Woman Review

Wonder Woman Series 1 - Wonder Woman
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
From the new DC Direct series based upon Terry Dodson's stunning rendition of the legendary Amazon Princess, this depiction of Wonder Woman (as an action figure) is fantastic. I would rate it as almost dead even with the `Justice' Series 3 rendition of Wonder Woman in terms of being the best Wonder Woman figure produced in the last several years.
The criteria I am setting forth are as follows:
1. Does this Wonder Woman figure accurately resemble its promotional photos?
Absolutely! As most collectors know, promotional photos (particularly, ones made public months in advance of the figure's actual release) can be rather deceptive, as one terrific figure is promised but then, the released figure will pale in comparison to the photo. In this case, I would say the promotional photo and the Wonder Woman figure are at least 95% identical. In other words, the resemblance is dead on.
Also, I was impressed as to how even the figure's eyes matched the photo. For whatever reason, some DC Direct figures have barely visible (i.e. poorly painted) eyes, but you can clearly see this figure's radiant eyes from a distance.
I give DC Direct an excellent grade on making good on its advertising for this figure.
Score: 10/10
2. Does the figure have much articulation (for display purposes)?
Honestly, I don't have any idea as to the number of articulation points this figure supposedly has. All I know is that it is at least functional in terms of basic movement. As a collector, my primary concern is that it can stand proportionally on its own using the enclosed display base w/o tipping over. I didn't have any trouble positioning the figure on the base, and it stands pretty much perfectly.
I will note, however, just like the `Infinite Crisis' version of Wonder Woman, this figure's hips are angled in such a way that one leg seems longer than the other. As a result, your choice of display poses is limited.
Score: 8.5/10
3. Do the figure's accessories enhance the figure?
The 'magic' golden lasso (the sole accessory provided, minus the display base) can be grasped in her right hand easily enough w/o falling out. However, unlike the `Justice' and `Infinite Crisis' versions of Wonder Woman, this one doesn't have any hook at her waistband to hold the lasso, so you are left without any choices as to where to display the lasso.
Score: 8/10.
4. Is the figure an excellent investment (or as a recommended addition to an action figure collection)?
Yes! If you can find it for a reasonable price, I highly recommend purchasing one. The other ones in this series I would recommend are Diana Prince (again, an exact likeness to the promotional photo) and Donna Troy as Wonder Woman (it's close enough to the photo).Unfortunately, I haven't viewed the Circe figure, which would complete the quartet, so I can't hazard an opinion on it.
Score: 10/10.
5. What do I think, overall?
If compared fairly to the various other Wonder Woman figures produced by DC Direct in the last few years, I would say this version is certainly a front runner. I would still give a slight edge to the `Justice' version for having a lasso hook and perhaps a little more pose flexibility. However, this figure has a simply wonderful visual look and meets all expectations one should reasonably have.
My final score: 9.25/10

Average Reviews:

These DC Universe figures are very well made and durable. They aren't overly articulated (which I find makes the figure a little more fragile), so my son can play with these without legs or heads popping off. Also, the capes are attached and made of plastic/rubber material, so they don't come off or rip. They don't really stand up well on their own, but they're perfect for hand-held imaginative play. We have a lot of these DC figures, and they've all held up well. Overall, they're fun to play with and look at since all their costumes are cool!

Okay so you get a blind box and aren't sure what you will find. The figures go together easily and the extra pieces make up the Batmobile. This is one of those things you get if you like the comics and are a collector. Not one for everyone, especially because you can't pick which character you are going to get.

These figures are blind-packaged, so, unless youâ?TMre figure # 4, Superman, and have the necessary x-ray vision to cheat the system and put it to the man, youâ?TMll have to take your chances just like any good soldier.#1 Batman, a more classic version of Batman, with the blunt ears, the high boots, the rib-lined, more batty cape he had in the old days.#2 This looks like the Hal Jordon Green Lantern in his test pilot jumpsuit receiving the ring from an ebbing Abin Sur. To Hal, Abin Sur is saying, â??I tried to eat a Twinkie, dear God, I wasnâ?TMt thinking. It was that Yellow Dye Number 5â?¦â?#3 Captain Marvel, the guy who pummeled Superman pretty good in Kingdom Come---once Batman broke the captain out of his grinning idiot phase.#4 Superman, fighting little silver hotdogs with torpedo rotors. Only he can see what other figures are in what boxes.#5 The Flash is busting out of a photo album, and heâ?TMs running. He doesnâ?TMt know where heâ?TMs running, but heâ?TMs happy about it either way.#6 Oh yeah, baby, the Joker. Heâ?TMs got his â??bangâ? gun in hand, and whatever it is that heâ?TMs doing, you know itâ?TMs cool.#7 A classic style version of the Batmobile---both before and after the Penguin got his Red Triangle circus freaks to put a bomb underneath the floorboard.

Superman's wacky enemy, Mr. Mxyzpltlk, makes for a great stuffy doll. The mischievous little imp from the 5th Dimension always makes for an interesting issue of Action Comics or Superman.
This is the Silver Age version, or Earth 1 if you prefer. Because of his diminutive nature and silly ways, he is perfect for transition to stuffed doll form. Perhaps it is a trap played by the imp himself, to disguise himself as a harmless child's toy!
Great companion to Bat-Mite. Good for kids to play with too.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns: Superman Action Figure

As a toy doctor, I've been touching up toys for these past few years. Bought a lot of Action Figures that really met my standards yet there are a few that had to be redone. One of them is Supergirl (DC Direct's Women of the DC Universe) and fortunately enough, the other is SUPERMAN! What a pair!
Now for the review. The figure's sculpting is excellent but the paint job is really bad! First, his cape is coated with enamel paint. Sticky, gooey enamel paint! When it comes into contact with the fig the cape leaves a stain! If the cape comes into contact long enough with other figures, the enamel paint peels off! I had to stabilize the paint for it to behave properly. Then, the Figure itself is painted without shading, just plain flat painting (reminds me of old cel animation). Finally, there were the production seams on his crotch, buttocks, sides and cape (I had to remedy that too! A little sand paper goes a long way). After weeks of experimentation I did manage to match my figure's painting with one on the box. After all those modifications, I was smiling proud. I'm done!
