Barbie Generation GIRL - International High School Playset Review

Barbie Generation GIRL - International High School Playset

I collect barbie sets. The more interesting, the better. I bought this one a long time ago. I thought it was very cool that barbie had a high school! It's alright that it is more of a Generation Girl Spin-Off. The two barbie magazines and Office Lounge pictures dedicate more to the generation girl fashion. Nevertheless, it is still all fashion doll!
This has the front entrance to the school, which is rather sophisticated-looking. There is a mural to the left of that (canvas background pullout) and it is a little student-artsy. The pullout panels are also for the Lounge and Cafeteria. The food dishes are decently detailed. The background shows more nutritious food, than not. More then MY high school had. LOL The Lounge pattern shows a copy machine and fax machine. The furniture pieces are a lunch table, green couch, shelf with computer and another fax machine. There are school magazines, fax papers, a spread sheet and a few other office needs. The lockers do open and you may pull their wall down for fun place to schedule a school dance. It comes with confetti but, I would not use it. Messy, you know.
There are school notices, backdrop patterns of a pay phone and fire extinguisher. What this place does NOT have is a classroom. LOL You'd think that would be the most important thing, that Barbie would push. I guess that's what the extra playsets can be for. It is an awesome high school and I am surprised that nobody has commented on this. Still, I don't see any true educational value.
The intercom and radio hookups are okay. You hear yourself more through speaking, then through the speakers.

Ryan's Room (Make More Room) 1 Review

Ryan's Room (Make More Room) 1

This adds height and another level for furniture.
Children can play at eye level w/o bending over while sitting on the floor.
The garage door was broken on mine as I purchased it used. Doesn't really impact the play value of the piece though. My daughter doesn't even know there was a door for a "garage". She just uses the garage as another room.
We have the seperate garage too but the door is broken on that one too...the wood craked and the dowle broke on both doors..not really fixable...everything else seems pretty sturdy though.
I'm planning to keep this one for my grandkids. We have ours against a wall as there is no accesibilty from the back. Some of the other Ryan's room madels have back access.
Also there is no way provided to permanently hook the basement to the rest of the house. So if you pick up the house from the a frame roof, you have to carry the basement seperately.
The stairs are fun and can be postioned in various locations.
Makes the home HUGE!

Ryan's Room Home Again, Home Again Review

Ryan's Room Home Again, Home Again

We were initially attracted to the house's A-frame design. We wanted a dollhouse that would allow a few children to play easily in different areas of the house. The A-frame allows for this. We favor toys made of wood b/c of our concern for the environment, the safety of our children and we've found that they tend to hold up better than plastic ones. Although, we were disappointed with the flimpsiness of the wood that makes up the interior walls of the house. That Ryan's Room offers an extensive collection of furniture, dolls, etc. designed to be used with the house was also a big draw. We feel this will enable the dollhouse to grow with our 3-year old daughter through the years. The house is also simple enough to allow for my husband and I to add extra creative touches like shingles, additional flooring and paint for the walls. Overall, we are very pleased with the dollhouse.

An amazing A-frame house where everyone feels welcome! Enormous two-story dollhouse with 6 rooms.More floor space and larger rooms makes play comfortable for the little hands. There's even access through the roof, sides, and front sliding doors. The upstairs balcony has 2 rows of colorful flowers and the roof has a built-in handle for easy carrying.

MGA Bratz Adventures in Learning Globe (English) Review

MGA Bratz Adventures in Learning Globe (English)

I purchased this for my 5 year old daughter. My family travels extensively & this is just what I was looking for. It arrived with a blemish on the globe itself, but Amazon offered me a 20% discount if I wanted to keep it. I colored the spot in with a pencil & it is OK. The price is a little expensive, so shop around. The volume is good & easily understandable. It has so many activites, a little advanced for a 5 year old, but with Mom's help, not a problem. She loves listening to the facts about the countries, and also the music. This is something that we will use for the next couple of years anyways. It is probably good for ages 5-9.

Take a fun and educational trip around the world with the Bratz Girlz. Whether you're trying to ace your next geography test or are just culturally curious, this electronic learning globe covers a lot of ground. The colorful orb has a wide base with a plethora of buttons (for a plethora of facts), spins easily enough on its axis, and has a stylus in the form of a purple airplane attached to its right side.
The stylus is the key to it all. Regardless of which learning mode you are in, you will need to touch your destination with the plane to reveal information and answer game questions. The three modes include: Fabulous Fifty, where facts about food, music, landmarks, and more can be learned for 50 popular countries; World Tour, which provides information like currency, population, highest point, etc. on anyplace on the globe; and Games, which offers six games that require globetrotters to locate places on the sphere before time runs out. There is a repeat button to hear a question again, which can come in handy for younger users.
Aside from loads of information on the world's countries, there is also trivia about states, provinces, oceans, and continents. The Time Zone feature lets you know what time it is in other parts of the world right now. If you've done enough traveling for one day, but still want to experiment in foreign fabulousness, try making one of the 14 recipes out of the included 24-page cookbook. They feature tasty dishes from around the world and are a great way to share what you've learned with the rest of the family.
The Bratz globe requires 4 C batteries and one AAA battery, none of which are included. After a few minutes of inactivity, it will automatically shut off, helping to conserve power.

MGA Bratz Kidz High School - Cloe Review

MGA Bratz Kidz High School - Cloe
Average Reviews:

When I got this doll for Christmas, I wasn't as excited as I am now, after finally getting her out of the box.
She comes with a change of clothes, approx. 4 or 5 color-in pages, a backpack, and 5 crayons (red, yellow, blue, green, orange).
This is a great doll to have for encouraging kids to be active in school and fun to play with as well.

The Bratz Kidz are ready to go back to school and to the head of the class! This adorable, doe-eyed doll stands seven inches tall and has everything she needs to meet up with her friends for a new school year. Cloe is wearing a pink patterned wrap top belted at the waist over denim crop pants accented with pink at the cuffs. Her long blond hair is parted down the middle with two thin braids fashioned on either side of her face.

Should she get the first-day-of-school jitters, she can change clothes at the last minute to the included outfit of a long sleeve green T-shirt under a short sleeve navy T-shirt and pink pants. With either outfit she can choose to wear her green ballet-style slip-ons or her tennis shoes. A white hairbrush is included so girls can style Cloe’s long tresses to keep up with current hair trends.

To get Cloe in the right frame of mind for school, she needs the proper accessories. This set comes with her green backpack plus an assortment of miniature school supplies. There are even five crayons and special coloring pages just for you to work on while Cloe is concentrating on her studies. When all her homework is finished, Cloe can hang out with her girlfriends and compare notes on the day’s lessons.

Stick with me as I go through this review because there are some things you might have missed in the product description and details.
First, some clues that you should buy this:
1. You went to grade school and loved or hated the lunches.
2. Just looking at her makes you remember the canned spinach or asparagus they served, along with the texture and smell.
3. She looks like a lunch lady from your school.
4. She appeals to you on some subconscious level and you need to explore that further. Go with it.
5. You KNOW she has to be a collector's item. Trust that feeling.
Now, features you might have missed:
1. You can customize the food by putting different stickers in the three serving containers. Wow! I prefer the spinach colored one and then a macaroni and cheeey one......and I'll let you guess about the third one. Why take away all suspense?
2. She is an action figure. Parts of her move.
3. The package info is funny. You'll have to trust me on that one.
4. She'd make a great gift for any lunch lady YOU know and love - or any child you want to traumatize. I don't really encourage people to traumatize children, just a little humor there. Parents will understand and, hopefully, anyone who has been around children and occasionally feel the urge to throttle them...but only in their imaginations, not in reality.
