Some baby dolls have weird faces, but this doll has a very sweet face. It also has a nice calming fragrance. It is soft and sturdy. The cotton material on the body of the doll does not pill like others do. Great first baby doll that will last many years!

Karito Kids Ling From China World Collection Doll/Book Starter Set Review

(More customer reviews)I am a grown up doll collector. The majority of the dolls I collect are actually dolls that are intended for children's play. I have wanted one of the Karito Kids dolls ever since I first read about them coming out. Both Ling and Lulu were on my list. I received Ling as a gift and she is just beautiful! She is larger than I expected her to be. I thought for some reason she would be more online with a Sasha doll's size or an early Sylvia Natterer doll. But she is a bit bigger. Often when you see a doll in promotional pictures they are done up in a way that never translates well to real life - i.e. the doll you get can not possibly measure up to the one you saw in pictures. However, this doll is every bit as a beautiful as her pictures - even more so. I have not felt that way since I received my first Annette Himstedt doll in the mail. I recommend these dolls to adult and child collectors alike. They are extremely well made, solid dolls that are very reasonably priced in the world of doll pricing. It can be especially difficult to find good ethnic dolls and Karito Kids have definitely outdone themselves in that arena. I look forward to one day adding Lulu from Kenya to my collection as well.

Since she was going through that "mommy" stage where she always wants to nurture her dolls like a baby, I wanted to get her a doll that could be her own baby while I had my baby (my son that was coming) to care for. She has other baby dolls but they are just too big for a toddler & she always seem to struggle carrying them around. This doll is the perfect size! It also looks a lot cuter & more realistic. The doll comes fully clothed with a one-piece, booties, cloth diaper, baby hat & a certificate of ownership. The only thing that I was disappointed about was that from the picture I assumed that I was going to get a doll dressed in blue for a boy (wanted it to be like my daughter caring for her brother) but I received one dressed in pink instead. Other than that, shipping was fast and overall, I'm pleased with this purchase.
