(More customer reviews)I can remember this time last year shopping for our 3 month baby girl for Christmas. I wanted to get her a baby doll that was just perfect. I was brought back to this doll because of the reviews and I have to say that they were all right!! This doll has served its purpose over and over. The soft doll became like "the blanket" to her. She loves the silky edge on the dolls dress. I have also washed it numerous times and was surprised that it didn't get that "washed" look to it. She still sleeps with this doll and prefers it over all of her toys. This is our 3rd daughter. I wish my other girls had had a doll like this. I know you will be happy with this baby!!

Gotz Dolls Mini Muffin 8" - Blonde Review

(More customer reviews)We purchased this doll from a discount store since we bought a "bigger" version of the Gotz Muffin doll over Christmas and loved it. My daugher uses her doll as the younger sister for the regular sized doll. The quality is nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. The clothes are plain and not that bright. Her hair is the best part, since its in pretty braids and much better quality hair than other manufacturers use!! The doll's face is nice but not as realistic as the larger dolls. Overall its a perfect "first" doll for a younger child. It is great to take on road trips since its not too big to carry around and can fit in totes just fine. Designed in Germany, but made in China.

I purchased the Calin doll more recently because when my two granddaughters got together, the only thing they would fight over was the Calin doll. Now they each have one and no more arguments. These dolls fit comfortably in the little ones' arms, have a pleasant scent, hair they can touch or comb & eyes that open and shut. The Corolle line of dolls are top notch!

It is very cute and although he has not gotten to play with it yet since it is a gift he will receive soon I feel like he will enjoy it and it will hold up. My only disappointment was the HAIR. It is straight! Though I realize there can be those of African American heritage with straighter hair the doll would have looked much more like an African American baby with curly hair.

She is slightly scented with babypowder smell, but it is not strong at all. You have to get real close to smell it not like some dolls (Berenguer dolls baby nursery collection smelled up my whole room so i returned it). She comes in a lovely two tone pink box 13 ¾" x 7 ¾" a bit cramped but it would make a cute bed for the doll. She is about 14 inches high. Including her sewn-on hat she is nearly 16 inches. Her delightful cloth body is pale pink with very bright pink slender legs. She is cuddly, soft, and light weight. Her pale pink hat has a dark pink band. Tightly sewn-on to the hat band is charming pink satin ribbon hair. Her pretty, soft frock of polyester fibers has a sleeveless V neckline bodice, white rick rack type trim highlights the waist, and pretty bight pink and white stripes on her skirt encircles her. On the left side is a pink multi colored flower. Sewn-on shoes with satin pink ribbons. She very well made and is complete in all details but does not come with needed panties. She is great for beginning stages of sensory awareness such as touching, holding, and feeling. This is a fun toy for my granddaughter. I made my purchase December 4, 2009. The doll I received is a Corolle Large Rag Doll Pink and in the Babicorolle Collection. She is made in China and cost me about $31.65. No panties is the only reason I gave this doll 4 stars.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my 21 months old girl as a pretend toy. She absolutely loves it! Her eyes beamed with excitement as she saw it and wanted me to get it off the box right away. She takes the doll to bath with her, which is fine because this doll is made for water play. It seems very well made and the doll's face is adorable. The doll drains pretty well when wet, and it drains water on its bum - comes in handy to demonstrate using the potty for a little girl.
The only problem I have is that my toddler gets frustrated getting her clothes and shoes on and off. But it's not a problem with the doll, just that our child has not mastered her motor skills to do that :)
In addition, I wish the doll comes with another outfit to change into... however I believe you can buy different outfits separately.

I can only give you my impression when I saw the doll's picture online and what my mother said about it since I never got to physically see or hold the doll. I thought it was cute and would be appropriate and durable enough for a 2 year old since it was colorful, soft bodied and her clothes could be removed. My mother thought the same thing when she saw it. We know that this child loves dolls so we anticipate that she'll love this one just as much as her others.

Gund: Sweet Dolly 12" Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter has slept with Dolly since she was 7 months old. Now at 16 months, she "cares" for Dolly -- shares her snacks, sippy, paci. She will make Dolly clap, fix her hair, etc. Dolly get loads of hugs and kisses. Dolly has become her security blanket and snuggles with her when she sleeps. At bed time, she kisses Dolly and puts her in the crib before she nurses. When I put her to bed, she grabs Dolly. When she wakes up, Dolly is the first thing she looks for. We do not leave home without her.
Dolly has been through the wash several times, and has held up wonderfully! Her dress has some pilling from washing, but I guess you gotta expect that, but she is perfect otherwise. We have bought a back up Dolly, as we would be in big trouble if we ever lost Dolly. In fact, she had back up Dolly when I was washing the original and she had a fit when she saw me put Dolly in the washer, so she carried around both.
Dolly also is all fabric and very soft (as are all Baby Gunds) so is the perfect first doll for any little girl. No hard plastic features. And Dolly is very cute too. Highly recommended.
