(More customer reviews)This is just an average Barbie with a very pink and very skimpy wardrobe, and I mean that to pertain to the amount of "skin" covered. Maybe she needs to be re-fitted before they continue this fashion line. My 7-year-old daughter loves all Barbies so she's happy with it and it seemed to be reasonably priced considering similar doll sets.

Barbie Fashion Fever, Lots of Looks! Fashions is a 2007 Mattel production. These are great fun fashions for Barbie and her friends to wear or mix and match. Included fashions are: Pair of black hi-heel "boot" shoes w/white dot trim on heels + top of boots, glittery powder blue pants w/black + silver stripes down outer sides of pant legs, a powder blue long sleeve sweater w/white faux fur collar, a light blue skirt w/silver string bow, a glittery light blue top w/white checkered "mesh-effect" long sleeves + matching white trim (like sleeves) above + below BARBIE that's printed on black glittery fabric in the front center of this top, light blue + dark blue + silver striped sleeveless hi-neck top that has some gathering at the neckline, a light blue dress w/silver trim, a pair of gray w/silver fleck shoes, gray w/silver fleck purse, a gray w/black trim case-type purse, a light blue long sleeve sweater with gray w/silver fleck collar + bodice and a silver color snowflake at the shoulder, a pair of black denim pants w/ gray w/silver fleck waistband w/silver bow and a pair of light blue sneaker shoes w/black soles + trim. Barbie and Kelly Pink Holiday Barbie Dolls Set Review

(More customer reviews)I took a walk through the Walmart toy department today and found this set for under $20. Of all the sets offered, this one appealed to me the most. In my opinion, this Barbie was nicer than the more expensive "collector" Barbie in the fancy dress for more than twice the money.
Some of the Barbie Dolls I looked at had so much eye "make-up" painted on they appeared to have black eyes. The eyes on this Barbie were acceptable. Both Barbie and Kelly have the same shade of blue eyes.
The inclusion of Kelly is a nice addition to this set. The Kelly doll is the reason I chose this set over any of the others or over choosing a single Barbie doll. (There were single Barbies available in fancy dresses in the same price range.)
My youngest granddaughter has several of the Barbie DVDs featuring both Barbie and Kelly. Kelly is on at least three of the Barbie DVDs--The Nutcracker, Rapunzel and Swan Lake. These DVDs are available at Target for $5 each. This Barbie/Kelly set would pair nicely with one (or all) of these DVDs to make a nice Christmas gift in the $25-$35 range. If you had to choose only one DVD, I recommend the Nutcracker (especially for Christmas gifting), Rapunzel and then Swan Lake in that order.
There are two drawbacks for this set: The blond hair on the Barbie has not been curled or groomed as well as the hair on some of the more expensive Barbies. However, given the state of Barbie hair I have seen on a number of well loved Barbies, the hairdo probably won't make a difference. The second drawback is that the set features contemporary outfits rather than "Princess" dresses. But, the pink and shiney outfits have their own appeal and Kelly's fish net stockings are adorable.
This set would make any little girls eyes light up.
If a "Princess" dress is desired, there are other Barbies that come with fancy frocks or you could buy or sew an additional outfit for this Barbie.
Note: I didn't see an individual Kelly doll at our local Walmart--this set was the only way to obtain her. I did notice some sets on Amazon that had four "Kelly" dolls.

(More customer reviews)i got this as a present for my daughter who loves to play dress up with her barbies and loves to put her mark on everything.when i got the dresses in one dress was stuck on the manican stand and i had to break the stand to get the dress off. the dresses ripped easily after a few times putting them on and off the dolls, the glue didnt hold the gems or the ribbons. the stickers came off. all around horrible. perhaps it was just a malfacture or a dud but i hate this and will have to re buy my daughter her barbie clothes...very disatisfied...
