(More customer reviews)We purchased this horse stable for our daughter (7 1/2 yrs). She had played with my niece's barn (made by Breyer) and had asked for one for Christmas. The Breyer barn was too expensive so I chose this one. I am glad I did as this seems better designed and constructed. As none of these toys is inexpensive, I was also concerned that this might be too young for her. I am happy to say that this was the star attraction on Christmas morning. She and my son (5 yrs.) have played with it every day since Christmas. It is a great design (they love to open all the doors or let the horses heads peak out) and seems to be very well-made. I do recommend buying extra fencing for the corral (Breyer makes it) as the one that comes with it is a little short. Also, we did buy some of the Breyer horses from Target. I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it. We have several products from the Melissa and Doug company and all have been well-designed and of high quality.

(More customer reviews)This was a Christmas gift for our 2 year old but we are all having fun with it. It's really well made and we like that it is a full body puppet. It's small enough for small hands to play with and work the arms. You can't move it's mouth but you can move the head and both arms and the sword is strong enough for a tough battle (still soft fabric but resilient enough for a tough pirate battle). And yep, I think it's very educational - for the imagination!

(More customer reviews)I bought this toy for my daughter. Cute but.... You get what you pay for. The item is listed at $9.00. That is exacly what the item is worth. It is cute but the magnets on the back could fall out easily. Ours has not been played with enough yet for this to happen but still you want to be aware of it. It is not your typical wood dress up doll. Kind of cheeply made. There are better safer ones out there like the Shure products. Those are great particularly the Pocket dolls and mini pocket dolls. The magnetic dress up puzzle princess is great too.

Melissa & Doug Shapes - Chunky Puzzle Review

(More customer reviews)Great concept, but I was disappointed to find that the shapes are plain wood with colored paper on just the front, rather than painted wood all the way around. One or two mouthings and the paper started wearing off within the first day! I generally really like M&D products, so was sorry this one wasn't more durable. I'll probably only buy these in stores in the future where I can examine the quality more easily before I buy.

Fisher-Price Wild Lights: Toucan Review

(More customer reviews)The younger kids in our extended family each received one of the 'wild lights' toys over the holidays, and this one was the biggest hit. It has two cute little songs that it alternately sings when you squeeze the tail (or in the case of my daughter, pry open the mouth), and a flashlight bulb that turns on. Yup, simple. But it is actually really cute, and I can imagine a kid who was afraid of the dark enjoying using it as a flashlight. I have been pleasantly surprised by this toy. I am not much of a fan of toys that take batteries, make noise, light up, etc. -- but this one is actually not annoying. It has continued to delight my 18-month-old for several months now. An inexpensive toy with staying power at this age is worth highlighting, and I would recommend it.

When I got the puzzle I was very disappointed to find that the puzzle pieces are MDF board, not wood or even plywood, and the puzzle board was MDF and plywood. Additionally they were not painted at all but had paper stickers that immediately started tearing off.
