Some bozo has written the same stupid thign for all 24 of the ZOdiac dolls and then complains the dolls are boring becase they are not different. DUH! The idea is THAT THEY ARE THE SAME and you pick your OWN
zodiac sign and ethncity and you don't have to worry that if you are a Cancer, that the Capricorn doll has MORE RHINESTONES! Unlike previous birthstone dolls like these, this was NOT a Wal-mart exclusive.

I did have a little trouble putting the cake together and getting the present together again but it is so much fun i could play with it all day. It is very educational. I recommend it. It is a beautiful doll. Please buy it for your kids birthday. It is every girls dream to have a barbie doll with the same birthday as you, i think.

(More customer reviews)This Barbie, first in the Christian Dior Designer Series, is truly beautiful. She wears a shiny metallic brocade gown with a fitted jacket and matching floor length skirt. There are golden beads and rhinestones sown on the sleeves of her jacket. Her hair is pulled back in a classy chignon style and she wears dangling, golden leaf earrings that perfect the ensemble. She comes with a pair of golden pumps and a stand.
Her face is extremely beautiful, as she, unlike many of the newer dolls, actually still has the typical Barbie face mold with shiny red lips that just go beautifully with her blond hair. Her clothes are sown on her so they cannot be taken off, which is ok, since she is a collector edition and not a toy for kids. I really think that what makes her unique is her stunning very beautiful face that is actually still looks like Barbie and her elegance.

2000 Barbie Collectibles - Barbie and Curious George Review

(More customer reviews)Curious George found a new home with Barbie, and her gentle expression says she is very happy about it. She comes with her own stand, and is able to hold the busy little monkey created by Margaret Rey in the Curious George stories. George is a stuffed toy that is just the right size for a child's small hands. His feet, hands, and face are peach, his facial features are painted black, and his body is velvet soft fur.
Her yellow gingham skirt and blouse (3/4 length sleeves) are trimmed with accents of red and white. The insert of Curious George playing with a yellow and blue beach ball dances around her skirt. White stockings, yellow shoes, a small red ring with matching earrings, and a yellow gingham hat complete the ensemble. Barbie's eyes are blue, her lips raspberry red, and she wears pale blush. Barbie's mahogany colored hair is soft, and is sun streaked.
I have not seen a little child yet who did not adore George and his adventures. Mattel should create the "man in the yellow hat" Ken to complete the group. Then parents could read the stories and have the right players for story time.
They stand on my TV. I did not mean to become a collector, it was an accident, but this doll just makes me smile. At the cost of this Barbie, I could let my little companions play with her, but I will just tell them Margaret Rey's stories.
* Play with the doll, dress up the monkey -- 5 stars.
* Education: Teach Curious George stories -- they always have a moral -- 5 stars.
* Durable: Kids could tangle her hair, stockings can be ripped, her hat could be lost along with George; all are normal issues with any doll. They cannot pull her apart (Mattel builds dolls to last), and her hair is easy to brush -- 5 stars.

We were looking at Barbies on ebay because she wanted to get me a Barbie for Christmas, because she knows I'm a collector. She showed me the Red Corvette Barbie and said she loved her dress, and I believe her makeup. And her dress is Beautiful! The actual product looks better in person than in the picture! I bought this doll right here on Amazon, and it arrived in time for me to wrap and give it to her while she was visiting me a few days before Christmas. When she opened it Christmas morning, she sent me a text message saying she LOVES the doll and so does her family! I might just get one myself :)

(More customer reviews)I bought this barbie for my 10-year-old daughter. I also bought November birthstone barbie and June birthstone barbie for my other daughters. All are exquisite. My favorite is November because she has orange hair like my daughter's. The June barbie has similiar characteristics of my other daughter. I would have purchased the caucasian version of this barbie but it was nearly three times as much money. Judging from the picture, the african american version had a beautiful appearance, and the picture was not deceiving. She is very pretty. I love all of them, and especially since I bought them all for $13.99, I think they are really a nice purchase. They are packaged very nicely too.

Barbie: Career Girl Barbie Doll - Gold Label Review

(More customer reviews)This 2006 Gold Label release brings back one of Barbie's most elegant, desirable ensembles of the early 1960s, "Career Girl" (cat #954). It's presented on a stunning example of the blonde 'Bubblecut' doll.
The "Career Girl" outfit consists of a gray tweed pencil skirt with matching wide-collared jacket, and a pillbox hat topped with a red rose. Underneath, Barbie wears a red turtleneck bodysuit; and also sports a pair of black elbow-length gloves. Completing Barbie's corporate look are a pair of black open-toed mule shoes, and a shiny black clutch-purse (a PAK item which wasn't originally included with the outfit, but over the years has been added to it by keen collectors for display). The "Career Girl" outfit has always reminded me of Kim Novak's tailored gray suit from the movie "Vertigo"--were Mattel designers influenced by the work of Edith Head?!
Originally released as a Gold Label offering by Barbie Collector in 2006, the "Career Girl" repro is now fetching very high prices; so grab her while you can!

We wanted to start a collection for her(that she'll not know about until she's old enough to not want them out of the packages. I don't know when that will be, as I'd like to take them out!) We wanted to get in on the ground floor of a series. THis was 1st in a series. A series that they do not plan on continuing aparently. I E-mailed them(MATTEL) a year ago and they replied that no 2nd was even in the works at that time. I was very dissapointed as being the first in a series was our reason for purchasing. Two series started that year, Birthday and Nursery Rhyme. WE got both. At least the birthday series continued.(These two were the only ones we found with the boxes saying first in a series) Just wanted to let collectors in on this info.

I saw the black doll and thought...it be a good choice for her being that my daughter is of the same race. The doll does a lot of dances and does work as promised. I'd recommend this doll for any lil princess regardless of which kind. The sound is a little muffled so I don't suggest having the tv or anything on too loud. Nonetheless worth the money!
