(More customer reviews)I had a heck of a time finding my two year old a baby boy doll. We recently had a baby, and she likes to think that he is HER baby and not mine! I thought if I could find her a durable baby with realistic features, she would be happy.
Well you don't get any more "real" then a little boy doll that pees! She calls him "My baby Cade" and our real baby is "Mommy's baby Cade". It's adorable!
The doll is small, perfect for a toddler. I was afraid it would be big and heavy. It comes with a few diapers, bottle, rattle etc.
Its very simple to operate and it works well.
I looked for MONTHS for a "boy" baby that I thought she would like. I am so glad I went with this one! Some of the other ones have lots more "bells and whistles", but sometimes I think basic is better. It laughs, coos, cries, wiggles and pees. She's two - she's thrilled with those features!
Do yourself a favor ~ if you're like me and you are reading every online review trying to find the BEST one; save yourself a lot of time and money. Get this one. Its affordable and fun.

(More customer reviews)This doll 'Jake' Camden Doll - Natural Waldorf Doll is a work of art. He is soft but feels substantial because he's filled with wool. I love that he comes with overalls and a shirt (100% cotton) that he can learn to take on and off. Jake's expensive, and I tried to find a sale but Camden Rose products never go on sale...but this was the best deal I was able to find on a Waldorf doll, which I really wanted. I feel really good about supporting Camden Rose and the cooperative of Peruvian women who made this doll, and I feel great about giving my son a gorgeous doll made of totally natural, non-toxic materials. I can't wait for him to find it under the Christmas tree. He'll be 16 months when he gets this doll.

(More customer reviews)This was purchased for our son, who was a little jealous of his big sister's American Girl doll. This is a very good boy alternative. It is about the same size as her AG doll, so they play with them together. There is a booklet about autism and some autism accessories that came with him as well. Since we do not have autism in our home, we did not keep those items so I cannot speak to the value of those items. My son enjoys him and we have been able to find a few boy outfits and accessories online. His limbs are a bit wobbly, certainly not AG quality, but also not near AG price.

HABA Doll 12" Yannik Review

(More customer reviews)This little boy doll is the perfect size for our toddler son. The quality of the doll is superb. The stitching is tight and precise, no loose threads anywhere to be found. The doll itself is made from a heavy canvas, so it should stand the test of time. We've had ours for six months or so and it's held up nicely to being tossed around by a toddler. One of the coolest things about the doll is the accessories: removable hat, belt, shoes, bag, jacket, shirt, and pants. We love that the hair on the doll springs out when the hat is taken off, really cute.
HABA makes really beautiful dolls. They're a little pricey, but the quality can't be beat. My one complaint about Yannik is that his bean bag butt doesn't quite allow the doll to sit on its own. But that's a minor issue for us. Recommended!

(More customer reviews)We bought this baby for our 12 month old son for Christmas because it was one of the only babies we could find that was 100% cloth and soft. It is perfect! It is so soft and cute, he likes the little tuft of hair and the diaper, and he is always hugging it. We started keeping it in his crib at about 15 months, and it quickly became his first "lovey" and now he wants to sleep with it at all naps and bedtimes. It has held up very well over this first year, although I have not tried to wash it yet. I highly recommend it.

(More customer reviews)This doll is almost perfect for my almost four-year old grandson. He loves the sword and plays with it in the doll's hand as well as in his own. He loves the cape and is able to take it on and off. However, he had wanted a doll for which he could change all of its clothes and Keanan's outfit is difficult for him to get off and on without adult help. I am also unable to find additional separate clothes and clothes patterns for Keanan (I am trying to create them on my own). Finally, I don't think the clothes will last long because my grandson wants to keep changing them.
I got the Groovy Girls dragon so that the knight Keanan could have it as a pet and could fly around on it. My grandson is able to put the knight on and off the dragon's seatbelt but needs a little help with the hand holds.
If you are looking for a boy doll that has a lot of sweet appeal, this is a good one. His expression is really cute.

As you can see in the photo I supplied, he mimics the things his parents do that delight him - in this case he has crawled into his stroller with his baby and his "latest" favorite library book, and as any good daddy would, is reading the book to his baby.
HABA's Lukas doll is ideal. The size is perfect for a toddler and there is no hard doll head with the potential for an unpleasant surprise "whack" when a child is attempting to hug or kiss it. The facial features of this wonderfully soft doll are printed on the fabric so there is no potential choking hazard. It is a simple, safe and lovable soft baby doll sure to delight any toddler - boy or girl.
It is too early to rate the durability, moreover, how does one rate the educational value of a toy meant to allow imaginative play while reinforcing the loving relationship between a parent and a child. I believe this comes under the category of being "priceless" and it will endure no matter how "durable" Lukas proves to be.
Lukas and the other soft dolls made by HABA should be at the top of the list for parents of toddlers looking for their first doll.
